When we install a replacement window, we will replace any rotten wood sills and we always insulate your weight pockets. We then screw in the window so it is secure and held firm, after that we stuff insulation in between the window and the window jam. After the window is in place and insulated we will caulk and seal all around the entire window opening, Inside and Outside. If an aluminum wrap is applied the caulk on the outside is applied after the wrap. The wrap is also caulked and sealed on the inside and outside, meaning the side against the house and the side against the window is sealed so no infiltration is allowed through the jam of the window.
